DoW description: SYN will focus on the integration of reconfigurable processing mlits in an exascale system and the corresponding system design exploration. Certain parts of the applications will be ported to reconfigurable processing units based on an analysis of their characteristics such as their processing need, I/0. memory footprint, memory accesses etc. Since there will be numerous candidates for the reconfigurable units, we will perform an exploration of the different alternatives and define the optimal point for each application.
